As the vice president of operations, Erika is responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of all operations related activities at VRPL. Erika started out in the Property Management field in 1990 as an Accounts Receivable Clerk for Tritor Developments. In 2000, she joined Bob Hann and his family at VRPL as one of the Property Managers. In 2010, she took over planning, directing and co-ordinating VRPL's operations.
Jane joined the VRPL accounting team in 2004, where she handled various financial related duties. In 2014, Jane accepted a position as Commercial Property Manager. She now oversees the day-to-day operations of VRPL's commercial sites including site inspections, liaising with tenants, and maintaining commercial records.
Mary brings extensive administrative and clerical skills and is a recent addition to the VRPL Property Management team. Mary handles day to day tenant matters, liaisons with third party contractors and inspects the properties.
Starting with VRPL as the receptionist, Andrea was promoted to the A/P department in 2010. In the spring of 2015, Andrea was promoted to Residential Property Manager. Andrea oversees and manages five residential buildings in the North Oshawa area. She performs regular inspections of the property, and ensures that the buildings are safe and well maintained. Andrea handles tenants' requests, enforces rental contract restrictions and creates and maintains accurate records on tenants, expenses and income.
Garett joined the VRPL team in August 2012 as Site Manager at 1760 Harbour Street. Shortly thereafter, Garett was transferred to a much larger facility requiring his expertise and experience in the management field. In the spring of 2015, Garett was promoted to Property Management, Storage Portfolio. In November 2016, Garett's portfolio was enhanced to include two residential buildings containing a combined 387 units.
Dionne joined VRPL in 2006 as the Payroll and Human Resources Administrator. Dionne ensures the highest degree of safety for VRPL employees and customers, by training staff on Health and Safety, ensuring the protection of information collected under the Privacy Act, and training staff on the standards under the Accessibility Act
A Certified General Accountant with over 20 years of accounting experience, Kim joined VRPL in 2012. She works closely with the accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. Her responsibilities include cash flow management, account reconciliation, and general accounting support.
Jennifer joined VRPL in late 2012. Jennifer brings to VRPL a strong background in accounting. Jennifer oversees the payments and costing for VRPL's construction activities, maintain the ACH files, and other accounting functions.
Matt joined VRPL in May 2012 in a contract position and was promoted to Account Analyst on a full-time basis in November 2012. Matt is responsible for account analysis for all properties and maintains accurate files for ACH and PAC payments. Matt assumed the tax analyst responsibilities in September 2014. Matt's duties now include handling appeals, reviewing property assessments, liasing with MPAC and obtaining vacancy rebates.
Starting with VRPL in the roles of part-time rental clerk and receptionist, Amanda was then promoted to A/R in late 2012. In the spring of 2015, Amanda agreed to assume the Accounts Payable position, where she currently provides financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts under her control.
Ida joined our team in 1988 as VRPL's first female superintendent. Some years later, Ida joined the accounting team as the Accounts Payable clerk, before settling into her current role as Rental Agent. She currently oversees all rental and advertising related matters for VRPL.
Ella joined the Valiant team in April 2017. Ella brings 25 years of experience in the customer service and administrative assistant field. Ella's exceptional people skills come in handy when interacting with tenants, visitors and contractors. Ella's duties include supporting the Property Managers as well as the Accounting Department with various duties.
Debbie spent the last two decades working for a local architectural and design firm. Debbie joined the VRPL staff in June 2016. Her day to day responsibilities include a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the owners and staff in order to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
